Session 1: Prepare Like a Champion
This session covers the fundamentals of being a sought-after teammate, performing at the highest level of your
field.
- Personal "gut check"--what are you made of?
- Characteristics & responsibilities of championship teammates
- Goal setting made simple & realistic
- Project management
Session 2: Act Like a Champion
Champions act differently than losers. Gain that "it" talked about in reference to superstars. Go from acceptable
to impressive and distinguish yourself. (Guess what? It's not that hard but few people make the effort.)
- Putting your best foot forward every day
- Business etiquette and polished professional behavior
- Business socializing and networking made easy (and comfortable)
- Stand out from the crowd
Session 3: Communicate Like a Champion
Say what you mean and mean what you say, and be professional about it. Champions don't blurt out their
opinions without thinking. They don't "tell it like it is" without regard to how the message will be received.
Speak like a champion.
- 3 Communication strategies and when each works best
- Personality behaviors & how to work with all of them
- Listening skills that build relationships
- Saying "no" without burning bridges
- Saying "yes" without being a doormat
- Love conflict! (Or, at least handle it effectively)
Session 4: Adapt Like a Champion
Game plans need to be adjusted. The series starts with developing a game plan and ends with a discussion of
responding when it doesn't go according to plan. Because it won't. Don't panic, adjust and move forward.
Adapt like a champion.
- Staying confident through challenges & changes
- Anticipating changes and adapting when surprised
- Reduce the negative impact of stress
- Handle changes at work professionally

All are welcome to attend, as the skills may need to be honed by people at all levels, in all positions. The following gives a general idea of
who is likely to benefit most from participating:
- High-potential employees likely to be promoted or recently promoted to management.
- Experienced professionals who want to fine-tune the areas covered and model them in the workplace.
- People in highly visible positions, such as account management, client services, and sales.
- New entrants to the workforce.
Who Should Attend?
Companies benefit by...
- Setting a consistent, high standard of excellence.
- Gaining employees who know important professional
behavior--without suffering costly mistakes.
- Ensuring employees gain personal feedback often
difficult for management to deliver.
- Ensuring employees know how to treat each other,
management, clients, and suppliers.
- Ensuring employees are motivated and energized to
excel, and they have specific actions to take.
- Gaining first rate training, without travel expenses.
Participants benefit by...
- Avoiding career-damaging mistakes.
- Learning standards by which business people are judged.
- Enhancing professional reputation--don’t leave it to chance.
- Maintaining confidence and control during any work situation.
- Improving relationships with coworkers and managers.
- Using models to take initiative, solve problems & get things done.
- Removing barriers to success they might not know about.
Benefits of the Series:
Being a star performer and effective teammate take practice. NFL quarterbacks don't show up on Sundays expecting to
complete 100% of their passes, without hours and months of practice. Even celebrities and their dancing teammates
practice hours a week to win Dancing with the Stars. Major league baseball players report in February for practice,
months prior to games. Tiger Woods spends the year practicing his sport and has coaches who help fine-tune his
performance. He has talent, but that alone is not enough to be a champion.
No matter what team you're on or leading, solid fundamentals and practice are essential for success. Rock solid
fundamentals and practice help turn those with talent into superstars. Companies with dedicated, focused, developed
high performers gain a competitive edge over companies without highly trained people.
This series provides fundamentals and practice in an interactive, practical format. This is a highly intensive training
experience for highly motivated people. Perform Like a Champion every day to distinguish yourself and your company.
